Levupol
Chemistry
- Levupol is a novel compound, β-hydroxy esters, developed by reacting bio-derived feed stocks.
- Levupol is multifunctional and is ideally suited to make environmentally- friendly polymer microcapsules that are free of toxic chemicals such as formaldehyde, isocyanates, and bisphenol A.
Features and Benefits
- Self-crosslinking and able to meet demanding barrier properties required for chemical and water resistance.
- Inherently antimicrobial with corrosion protection performance.
- Post functionalized to form a non-ionic surfactant, adding to its antimicrobial and corrosion protection.
- Lower viscosity compared to traditional bio-based polylols.
- Higher bio-based content (>95%) compared to traditional bio-based polyols.
SiRamic
